Modern Slavery Statement – SSL Group (UK) Limited
This statement is made on behalf of the Board of UK Directors for SSL Group (UK) Limited, part of the Signature Senior Lifestyle group of companies with regards to the Modern Slavery Act 2015, which requires companies to provide information regarding their efforts to eliminate modern slavery and human trafficking in their supply chains. Our organisation has a zero-tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking within our supply chains and is committed to having effective systems and controls in place to mitigate such risks. This statement relates to actions and activities during the financial year 1 April 2019 to 31 March 2020.
Signature Senior Lifestyle is a luxury provider of residential, nursing and dementia care services with homes located in London and the South East of England, operating since 2006. Our supply chains include the procurement of agency labour, food and beverages, medical consumables, facilities maintenance, utilities and waste management. Our internal policies and supplier contracts reflect our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all of our business relationships. Similar expectations around ethics and compliance are clearly communicated by Signature to its supply chain partners. When entering into formal arrangements with suppliers and when periodically reviewing supply chains, Signature continuously seeks to detect any indicators of slavery or human trafficking.
To ensure that Signature employees have a high level of awareness of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking this statement forms part of the induction process and is published in our Employee Company Handbook. Our employees are actively encouraged to identify and report any potential conflicts or breaches of our anti-slavery statement or our company values using the Whistleblowing policy and dedicated contact number.
